WORLD CORPORATE TRAVEL PRIVACY POLICY This privacy statement has been made in accordance with amendments to the Federal Government Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 (new Privacy Laws) which took effect from 21 December 2001. World Corporate Travel recognises the importance of client privacy and supports best practice procedures in the way your personal information is handled. By providing your personal information you agree and consent to the collection, use, disclosure, storage and holding of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. World Corporate Travel is committed to our client’s privacy and security. Your personal details are maintained in our files to allow easier and faster travel booking procedure and are only supplied to third party providers who require the information to accurately manage your travel requirements. These third party providers may be airlines, hotels, car rental, tour and travel insurance operators. In most circumstances, successful travel confirmations cannot be processed without these details such as name, passport information, telephone contacts, frequent flyer membership and seating preference. Although our preferred local suppliers have privacy policies in accordance with the New Privacy Laws, you accept that some third parties eg hotel and car operators are located overseas and therefore may not have equivalent privacy policies in place. Individual profile and company information shared with World Corporate Travel remains completely confidential and is not used for any other purpose than outlined in this privacy policy. In order to comply with the law and protect the Agent position under this new Act, the Australian Federation of Travel Agents recommends that all our clients be requested to agree to the following declaration waiver: “I acknowledge that I will provide World Corporate Travel from time to time with information about myself of a personal nature (Personal Information”). “I consent to World Corporate Travel using any personal information supplied by me/us for the purposes of making and completing airline bookings and travel related arrangements on behalf of me/us”.
